Onze Brusselse wafels in de spotlights

Our Brussels waffles in the spotlight

Jou Verschooten

Our Brussels waffles!

We could write volumes about this! but the most important thing you as a customer should know and be able to see is that our Brussels waffles are always made with daily fresh dough and how our irons work.

Our waffle dough is prepared every morning! in time so that the dough has time to rise well, and then good waffles can be made from it by midday.

Our waffles are not just baked... They are baked in antique cast-iron waffle irons. This is a specially custom-made gas-powered system, which makes it truly a unique piece!

When our waffle irons are cold, it can take up to 15 to 20 minutes for them to reach the correct temperature. If you pour the dough in too quickly... meaning if they are "not hot enough," then you'll only have more work, and it will also take longer for the waffles to be properly baked.

An art and a challenge in itself! to deliver well-baked Brussels waffles to the customer during a busy service.

We are putting our Brussels waffles in the spotlight to show people what these irons look like and how everything "around the waffles" works... With us, you certainly won't get frozen waffles and therefore not a waffle on your plate in 5 minutes... unless the irons are fully in operation and well heated.

For our homemade waffle dough, we work with butter of the best quality and fresh yeast. Like most rising waffle doughs, this dough is alive; the better it ferments, the better the waffles :)

We warmly welcome our customers to come and taste our Brussels waffles!

In the attached photo, you can see what our waffle irons look like.

We hope to provide insight to the customer, so people understand why there is a certain waiting time for our waffles. And precisely because we work with fresh products and with antique waffle irons that can indeed take some time...

These are and remain the best Brussels waffles, precisely because these are custom-made irons and, of course, also because we work with high-quality homemade dough ;)

Welcome! and come taste...

Many greetings from Kathleen & Jou,
